Deepti has been involved with various nonprofit organizations over the past 20 years in the areas of gender justice, education and the environment. Her strengths lie in board development, fundraising, optimization of the internal and external structure of these organizations, and strategy and planning.

Deepti has developed councils, advisory boards and young professional networks, strengthening organizational effectiveness. She has successfully facilitated expansions in major gift giving at galas and capital campaigns and is skilled in attracting and retaining donors deeply engaged in donor related giving. Her leadership in this space has brought new donor communities and raised the profile of nonprofits executing her strategies. Detail oriented project management and strong interpersonal skills has helped Deepti effectively collaborate with various roles from diverse backgrounds.

Deepti has served on various boards including The Dalton School, Parent Association of New York Presbyterian Hospital and Sakhi for South Asian Women; she is currently on the board of Friends of St. Catherine’s Park, Pollyanna, Friends of Teach for India, and Sakhi’s Emeritus Board. Deepti is on the Brown University Presidential Internship and Parents Leadership Councils.

Deepti is the founder of the The Mittal Talwar Team at Douglas Elliman. She is highly regarded in Manhattan and has consistently ranked in the top 8% of all Elliman realtors. Deepti has an MBA in Marketing and International Trade from India.
